DispatchHealth, is looking for a full-time Radiology Billing Specialist! Responsibilities include a variety of tasks including insurance verification and eligibility, daily claims review and payment posting, invoice billing and collections, Medicare Part B claims and other related duties as assigned. Qualifications include ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal, capability to work independently as well as collaboratively, as well as demonstrating a great attention to detail and data accuracy. Preferred qualifications include insurance verification and coordination experience, knowledge of billing standards required by Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial payers. Two to three years' experience in medical billing is preferred.

What You'll Do

• Perform insurance and responsible party verification.

• Handle information about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures

• Communicate with and assist staff at customer facilities with facility billing selections and other billing questions.

• Answer questions from patients, clients and third-party payers.

• Collect, review, organize and file paperwork associated with medical procedures performed, including order requisition forms, doctor’s orders and medical necessity information, patient face sheets with up-to-date insurance information, and other relevant documentation needed for proper billing and compliance.

• Review billing information for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information.

• Identify and resolve patient billing issues

• Prepare, post and submit clean claims to various insurance companies.

• Assist with review and resolution of payment denials and rejected claims.

• Monitor and review aging reports and communicate with payers as needed to ensure payment.

What You Need

• Minimum of HS Diploma required, Associates Degree strongly preferred.

• Ability to work independently

• Great problem-solving skills

• Experience with billing practices in multiple states a plus

• Minimum of 2-3 years medical billing experience preferred
