Cummins Inc. Legal Analyst - Graduate in Pune, India
DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
Manage compliance by mapping, identifying, and addressing potential gaps to uphold legal standards and mitigate risks.
Provide end-to-end legal support in project management and execution.
Conduct approximately 10+ trainings for purchasing every year.
Offer advisory support to various business units, addressing a wide range of legal inquiries and concerns, including disputes and regulatory matters to mitigate legal risks and optimize business operations.
Conduct legal research on a wide range of topics, including regulatory compliance, case law, and industry standards.
Analyze legal issues and provide recommendations or solutions to support business objectives.
Manage litigation and corporate governance matters, including regulatory filings.
Review basic documents and routine contracts, address legal questions, and assist on projects under the supervision of an attorney.
Undertake directed legal research and work with more experienced attorneys to understand the application of legal analysis.
Build professional experience and learn the practical aspects of applied law, as well as the functions of the business.
Manage small portions of well-defined projects and provide administrative and logistics support for a project team and project manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualifications:
Degree in Law.
License to practice law in home jurisdiction (can be obtained during Graduate program).
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Experience:
Minimum level of relevant experience required.
Experience in managing compliance, providing legal support, conducting trainings, and offering advisory support to business units.
